Terms of Service

This terms of service applies to Uncypher (uncypher.ai), a product operated by The Human Company Private Limited (‘the Company’), Bengaluru, India. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

1. The service

Uncypher is an AI analyst that connects to your data sources — such as data warehouses, dbt projects, code repositories, and team communication tools — to answer analytical questions with cited SQL and to maintain a workspace memory of your team's business context. The service is provided as hosted software and, where agreed, as a self-hosted deployment in your own environment.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend accounts that compromise the security or integrity of the service. Workspace administrators control membership of, and access to, their workspaces.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service in violation of applicable law or third-party rights;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other customers' data, or underlying infrastructure;
  • probe, scan, overload, or disrupt the service, or circumvent usage limits or access controls;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties except as expressly permitted in your agreement with the Company;
  • use the service to develop a competing product by systematic extraction of output.

4. Customer data and intellectual property

You retain all rights to your data, including queries, warehouse content, and workspace memory (‘Customer Data’). You grant the Company a limited license to process Customer Data solely to provide the service. The Company retains all rights to the service, its software, and its documentation. Feedback you provide may be used to improve the service without obligation.

5. Disclaimers

The service is provided ‘as is’ and ‘as available’. The Company disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-generated analysis may contain errors; cited SQL and sources are provided so you can verify results, and you are responsible for decisions made on the basis of output from the service.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. The Company's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amounts paid by you for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. The Company may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms that remains uncured after notice, or where required by law. On termination, your right to use the service ends and Customer Data is handled in accordance with the privacy policy and your agreement with the Company.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or the service. We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by a new ‘Last updated’ date on this page.
