Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
This privacy policy applies to Uncypher (uncypher.ai), a product operated by The Human Company Private Limited (‘the Company’), Bengaluru, India. It describes the information we collect when you use Uncypher, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have about it.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — name, email address, organization name, and authentication details you provide when an account is created for you or your workspace.
- Queries and workspace content — the questions you ask, the SQL generated and executed, saved queries, annotations, and the business context (definitions, corrections, pins) your team records in the product.
- Usage information — log and diagnostic data such as feature usage, timestamps, browser type, IP address, and error reports, used to operate and improve the service.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to provide and operate the service, authenticate users, generate and ground answers against your connected data sources, maintain your workspace memory, provide support, secure the service, and improve product quality. We do not sell personal information.
3. Storage and security
Customer data is stored on cloud infrastructure with access controls, encryption in transit, and encryption at rest where supported. For self-hosted and VPC deployments, warehouse data remains within your environment; Uncypher connects to your sources and does not copy your warehouse into our systems beyond what is needed to answer your queries. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.
4. Third-party processors
We rely on a limited set of third-party processors to operate the service, including cloud infrastructure providers (for hosting and storage) and large language model (LLM) providers (to generate analysis and SQL from your questions). Where the product is configured to use your own LLM provider (‘bring your own LLM’), prompts are sent to the provider you configure. Processors are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and to use it only to provide their services.
5. Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Queries, workspace content, and memory entries are retained for the life of your workspace or until you delete them. Usage logs are retained for a limited period for security and diagnostics. On termination of your agreement, we delete or anonymize customer data within a commercially reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal information. Workspace administrators can manage and delete workspace content directly in the product. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below; we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
7. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact the Company at legal@uncypher.ai.
8. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of India. We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by a new ‘Last updated’ date on this page.
